Greetings Employees! (its Amy and Tobes again, here for another show and tell episode, they keep bringing us back so we’ll run with it)
BEFORE ALL OF THE LOVELY GAME UPDATES… We hit 1,000 1,300 members on our Discord server! Thanks to all of you for joining, chatting with us, following the dev journey and remaining patient about the playtest. It'll all be worth the wait we PROMISE (hopefully these fun videos help pass the time until then)
TOPLINE UPDATES
Ongoing vehicle reworks
Last time we showed you a picture of what the starter hatchback would look like.. This time its an actual model!
We're still working hard on bringing each of the vehicles in the game more in line with the universe of AWD, loads more vehicle reworks still in the pipeline.
Overall Architecture
We caught up with our Art Director who tells you a little bit more about what we're aiming for with the art style in the game (si-fi brutalism thats mixed in with it being reclaimed by nature). All this stuff will make the universe and narrative loads more immersive so stay tuned.
Drones VFX and Lighting
More cool drone work (obviously, because drones are great). The models themselves are still placeholder for now (we're designing our own) but the tech is coming together really well. Beaming end-of-the-world-esq lights, explosions when you destroy them, smoke and sparks when you damage them. all the good stuff
GUNS GUNS GUNS - FOV Changes
we've been reframing the weapons to give off more feedback around the weight and feel of them, including tweaks to the field of view and weapon positioning on-screen
